Marianne Killick, our popular licensed acupuncturist, is returning from Maternity Leave on 7th February 2012..

PRESTONS SUPPORT YAXLEY RUNNERS AT THE FOLKSWORTH 15 MILE RUN 2012
The Prestons team (including our sports massage Practitioner, Phil Young, our podiatrist Sue Arnold, and our Chartered Physiotherapists, Helen Preston and Stephen Moesbauer) provided sports medicine support at the Folksworth 15 mile run 2012.
Prestons donated the "Prestons Physiotherapy Cup" to the best local lady runner over 60: this prize went to Anne Furbank. Congratulations Anne!!!

Marianne Killick, BA(Hons), MSc, Dip.Ac, MBacC.
Marianne qualified with a Diploma in Acupuncture from the Northern College of Acupuncture in July 2010. Prior to this in 2008 she was awarded a Certificate in Acupressure Massage from the Northern College of Acupuncture. She is a full member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC).
During her studies Marianne gained distinctions for an in-depth case study analysis of Multiple Sclerosis through the paradigm of traditional Chinese medicine and her detailed case study in relation to acupuncture and the menopause.
Marianne has spent many years working with victims of torture and trauma (in a legal capacity) and has spent time working with post-civil war communities in El Salvador, Central America. From this she now has a special interest in mental/emotional aspects of acupuncture treatment. She is also keen to pursue her interest in the use of acupuncture in the menopause and in the treatment of pregnant women.
Personal interests:
Marianne is a keen dog walker, and enthusiastic owner of her two young Labradors, Rufus and Bramble. She also enjoys Latin American literature and music and cooking.
