Nicola Mulkeen,

Nicola MulkeenI graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2000 with a Bsc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. I have since worked in numerous locations in the NHS, private practice and overseas.

I have covered many specialities with particular interest in paediatrics and more recently women’s health. I am currently studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in “Continence for Physiotherapists” which finishes in June 2011.

I have a wide range of skills including the use of manual techniques, soft tissue massage, clinical pilates and acupuncture. I also carry out internal examinations to assess and treat both bladder and bowel problems.

I have experience of working both on a one to one basis and within class settings.
I also work with women and men post breast cancer surgery who may develop shoulder restriction post operatively. This could be acutely or some time after the surgery.

The job is rewarding and gives me an immense sense of achievement when I see what a difference I can make to quality of life.
